Synopsis: Effie White, Deena Jones, and Lorrell Robinson comprise The Dreamettes, an all-girl trio who doesn’t let their first setback get to them. But with their uncontainable talent, they eventually become veritable–and viable–superstars themselves. The Dreamettes becomes The Dreams, who is supposedly more sophisticated and classy when it comes to both looks and sound. Their fan base grows, with more white fans–but the fame and fortune do not guarantee happiness.
